Three things to touch and feel and love on:

My student short film, 'Alan & Lloyd' is now on the internets. You can play it, above. It's twenty minutes long, though, so make sure you have twenty minutes. Here is the description I put on vimeo for it:

"This is one of two versions of mine and Will Boesl's student film "Alan & Lloyd". The other is just this version, minus two fifths, with an abbreviated credits, and some small audio changes. Overall, the "Contest Cut" (which is what we call the other version) is far less superior and you aren't missing out on anything.

It's hard to explain what this is about. I doesn't have a main story, but a bunch of small stories. I guess it's about two friends hanging out in a car. There, that's enough of a synopsis."

Also I mention to check out this site in the description, but that would be redundant. Also I mention mine and Will's myspace, so go there. Also we got Amir Blumenfeld of beingfamous and Jake and Amir fame to do a small voice over for it, and you should check out his site(s). Also also also.

Two new things and one odd thing to report on. One is that Gabe made a comic (above, click on it for better viewing).

The second is that we have a podcast now. Click right hur to go to the new page for it. It's called HasBeenConnected. If you like it, either bookmark the page or subscribe to the RSS feed. We should be doing a new one every week. (I'll probably also add a link on the side and maybe post about new ones on the main sight. The former definitely , the latter possibly.)

Thirdly, the store was down, because Zazzle was remodeling, but it's back up now.

Oh, and another thing. I heard a rumor. Yah... I heard about what you did two weekends ago. I mean, yah, she was in the wrong, but you weren't in the right. I just wouldn't talk to him for a while. Or mention folders.

The horror movie. It’s a genre. A genre that's slowly creeping up on you for the kill. Don’t turn around, there’s a genre behind you, with a large… knife or something. Don’t go to sleep, because then the genre can kill you. Certainly don’t look in the mirror/don’t look down/don’t look in the dark/don’t do anything remotely overt. IT WILL GET YOU AND DISEMBOWEL YOU.

The horror movie, it’s a genre beloved by many fine connoisseurs of film across the world, and usually the most respected (I’m looking at you The Shining). Let’s take a look at some of the most recent and revolutionary horror movies to come out.

I first want to tackle the ‘big daddy’. The Saw Franchise. Never has a franchise dealt out scares with such fineness and Oscar worthy acting. (I still cry every time I hear, “My name is very f***ing confused, what’s your name?”) But it isn’t the original movie that was so revolutionary, but the fact that the series is already on it’s fourth symphony and still gearing up for a fifth and sixth, and has aged like wine. Never has a franchise been able to keep up the quality for so long. The subtlety of the films is what really makes them shine. It’s less about what they show you and more about what they don’t show you. And each movie comes with a dessert also, a little secret, a huge plot twist. (SPOILER ALERT: I love this franchise!) M. Night Shayalsdflawer wish he could write that well.

Moving on to a similar premise, the Hostel series. The Hostel series is essentially the spark notes version of the Saw movies, in which it takes out all the hard to understand parts of the story*. Also, instead of people torturing themselves, it’s other people torturing other people, something that up-and-coming Funny Games (2008) is blatantly ripping off. Other movies have also dabbled in the 'torture' sub-genre, such as Captivity, Wolf Creek, and Last Holiday.

If you want to look for a more classic 'ghost' type of movie, then look no further than The Grudge series. What they lack in overall scariness, they make for with excellent plots that tie together and really make you say, "Wow, that makes sense." There's also The Messengers. Or anything coming out of Asia.

Last but not least, the slasher film, which is certainly in its prime. Forget about old slasher movies like Halloween or Black Christmas or The Hitcher, it's all about the new slasher movies like Halloween or Black Christmas or The Hitcher. In recent years there have also been a few mixes with the slasher genre, such as the Jeepers Creepers series that mixed in demonic... stuff. (Ray Wise, you devil. :wink:)

A few quick picks before I finish, The Hills Have Eyes, Turistas, Silent Hill, and Snakes on a Plane are all superb horror movies that have been released recently and will be sure to make you applaud. Have a scary, and award winning, Halloween.

All I want to do, is have some fun looking around on myspzeaacseasasdf, but suddenly I get punched in the face with opinions, and I have a feeling, I'm not the only one.

Enough of that.

But like I said, this myspaceasdlfjkasdflkjasdlfkjasdlfkjasdlfj seems to have given people the notion that their opinion has never been heard before, and that they're exceptionally independent and that they aren't just reiterating some kind of vague idea that's been said a million times over (which I would never do).

And it isn't just on myapooiasodasu0fasreasjfasjerasiueraweoiurtw09485qw34ih5qw4l5nerf.

Now, let me clear this up, I have nothing against people voicing their opinions, but then again, hearing sixteen-year-old girls scream about how how much Bush sucks (especially after they've consumed an entire bottle of Bacardi minus the soda) gets really old, even if Bush does in fact suck (an opinion I'm moderate about, in truth I really don't give a shit one way about politics).

Here's a few other examples:

I'm sitting in class and someone mentions some slutty Freshman getting knocked up and this leads to abortions which leads to an hour long debate about abortions. The problem is, everything they're saying has been said before and everyone has heard it. The same goes for 9/11 conspiracies or anything else having to do with the government.

I was hoping that this political wide-openness/blatant-retardedness would have died down, and people who don't know about something would shut the fuck up about things they don't know about (I'm looking at you half-of-Hollywood). But instead, it's leaked into other things.

I'm going to reiterate again that I'm middle of the line when it comes to my politics and beliefs. For every one thing I have a conservative notion about (i.e. abortion) I have a liberal notion about something else (i.e. gay marriage).

I'm on myaouasdfoiajsdfopice and a girl I know has a picture of herself wearing a Texas Aggie jersey on. Cool, I like A&M, so I say "Gig'em." I come back another day and see a torrent of people saying things like, "More like Texas 'Faggies'", and "I would say you look good, except that jersey", and "A&M sucks".

We get it, you all think A&M is for fags, now shut up.

We get it, you all think Bush is a fag, now shut up.

We get it, you all have one of two opinions on abortion, now shut up.

"We get it, you hate people that open their mouths without some kind of informed opinion or something new to offer, now shut up..."

I was recently looking at movie trailers (because it’s either that or be productive) and I have come across something astonishing. There is an actual recipe for making Romantic Comedy trailers. Here, let me explain the ingredients.

The first ingredient is that the trailer HAS to have that soothing deep voice (you know, the “smoker since I was six” voice) saying things like “Justin could never commit to anyone, but everything changed when Kelly came along,” or “she was just a small time girl, living in a lonely world,” or something other disconnected floaty bull crap.

The second is the main character always has to say something along the lines of “I met someone incredible” followed by that someone incredible getting hit in the face, falling, dropping something, or something else excessively clumsy.

The third is a character has to make fun of another character using an old tired joke, but for some reason it’s followed by a minutes worth of raucous bouts of laughter from characters in different settings. We know that laughter is from different scenes than the joke, but editors still like to mix and match scenes to make a good commercial.

Number four is the main character has to say “I’ve made a huge mistake,” or some other way of expressing remorse. This is usually followed by a close-up shot of the character looking sad or raucous bouts of laugher from characters in different settings.

And finally, it is completely necessary to have a musical montage. CUE IT:

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL… LIVING IN A LA-HONELY WA-HORLD… SHE TOOK A MIDNIGHT TRAIN OUT TO AAAAN-EEEE-WHEEEERE!

Why, hello there! My name is Gabe, and I will be writing the weekly gaming related article for HasBeenCorrected.com. I hope you will enjoy my updates on everything gaming. I will be doing a gaming news update every other week, to let the gaming world produce enough news for more than just a few sentences! On the other weeks, I will be spotlighting games of interest. But since this is the first article I am just introducing myself. (NOTE FROM CONNOR: until we got more people the articles might be a little more sporadic and not so much weekly, sorry, frowny face)

Well, my personal favorite game is Gears of War. I have been playing this game A LOT since I have bought it, and I can't stop loving the Xbox Live multiplayer. I have a few other games, such as Saints Row, Dead Rising, and Tony Hawk American Wasteland, but Saints Row and Dead Rising I have yet to beat fully.

I really got started in video games when I was young, around 6 or 7, and my first game I can remember playing is Sonic for the Genesis. I got so frustrated at that damn game. Damn Egghead.... But anyways, I finally got a Nintendo 64 when it came out and had Super Mario 64 to go along with it. I beat that game in about 2 weeks and craved for more. My next victim was Mario Party. I had fun with it, but the times that I tried playing the game on its toughest level, I would get so frustrated that I would throw my controller at the T.V. in a fit of rage, and smash around my Nintendo. Then, after the severe wife beating I gave it, I would caress until I felt I had undid the damage.

I continued to move on to better games, and some not so good ones. Superman 64, you know what you did to me. Eventually, I got a Gameboy Color and got into Pokémon, which I played obsessively. Capture this, battle that. For about 3 years, my life was about what the hell my Pikachu was doing. From Red Version, to Blue, all the way to Gold and Silver, I played. But then the PS2 came out. I had started to play my mom’s boyfriend’s Playstation 2 and on it, Kingdom Hearts. I didn't really care for it much, RPGs aren't my thing, which I quickly found out when the Xbox came out. Cue Hallelujah music.

I bought it when it first came out Christmas 2001, along with a copy of Halo. That's when I discovered my love for First Person Shooters. I quickly beat it in a matter of hours. Moved up to Legendary. That took me a few weeks, but I managed to beat it. I mastered Halo multiplayer, and continued to rent and destroy games. Halo 2 came out and I beat it in 7 hours. And that's pretty much my experience with games thus far.

Today, I own an Xbox 360, and I would gladly choose it over the Wii and PS3 any day. I guess I'm a Microsoft whore, but oh well.

At long last, I've created merchandising for HBC!

There is only one product (a nifty shirt which you can see the front of above) on there right now, but more will come if any more are thought of.

You can go to it by clicking here or you can use the merch button up there in the top right. You'll probably want to get acquainted with that area because this post will soon be buried by others. Once you click it will show our store page, which has all of the products, you can then click the product you want to view and then from that page you can customize it by changing colors and other types of things.

Buying the shirt won't get us money (frownie face) but buying it and wearing it in public will get the site more attention (smiley face).

My guess is that the majority of the people reading this know what a bulletin on Myspace is... if not, it's basically a message you send out that everyone can read, they were designed so people could tell people of upcoming gatherings, or other important things. Of course, nothing is used for what it's designed for.
